Eyelet Ribbon Innocent Smoothie Hat

Eyelet Ribbon Hat

The instructions are for a hat made with one colour, but the photo is a two-colour hat. The only difference is that the first two rows, the decreases and I-Cord are done in a contrast colour.

Needles - 4mm
Yarn - DK
Cast on 29 stitches

Row 1-3 Knit 3 rows
Row 4 Purl 1 row
Row 5 K3, * YFWD, K2TOG * repeat to last 3 stitches, K3
R0w 6 Purl
Row 7 Knit
Row 8 - 12 repeat rows 6 and 7, ending with a purl row
Row 13 K2TOG across row to last 3 stitches (14 stitches)
Row 14 P2TOG to end (7 stitches)
Row 15 K1, (K2TOG x 3) (4 stitches)

I-Cord - Work 6 rows of I-Cord (transfer the stitches from the right to the left needle, pulling the yarn tight and knitting them again)
K2TOG x 2 (as in I-Cord) pass right stitch over left and pull the yarn through the last stitch.

Sew up the seam, and thread a piece of ribbon about 1 cm wide in and out of the holes. Sew the ends of the ribbon together.
